It’s no secret that I love supporting and promoting family run businesses. As a small shop owner myself, I understand the heart, hustle and long hours that go into nurturing a business while raising young kids. What’s even better is when that business has an amazing product, uses eco-friendly materials and gives back to charity.
I was introduced to Native Wilds a couple of months back when I tried out their Coco Nest. The first thing I noticed was how soft the fabric was. The second thing I noticed was that there was a real, usable pocket on it. (AMAZING!) Okay, so I’m a sucker for just about anything that has pockets on it. Perhaps it’s because I always seem to be carrying 2 sippy cups, 6 toys and countless snacks. I initially used the Nest as a car seat cover while I was still putting Mila in her bucket seat, but have also found it beneficial to throw around her stroller when it’s windy out.
The Nest also works well as a nursing cover. And while I’m a firm believer in openly breastfeeding in public if you choose to do so, the cover has been helpful in keeping Milas attention on feeding instead of everything going on around her.
If all that wasn’t good enough, Native Wilds also donates a portion of each sale to an organization that provides maternal healthcare to women in developing countries. It’s clear that the business has a strong focus on empowering women and it’s safe to say that I am officially a fan of everything they do!
